At Blue Ridge Abortion Fund, we believe love means providing care, support, and compassion when Southerners need it most. In Virginia, reproductive freedom isn’t abstract. It’s the ability to make decisions about your own body without fear, barriers, or judgment — and to have real support along the way.

For more than 35 years, Blue Ridge Abortion Fund has helped make that freedom real. We support people navigating the logistical, financial, and emotional challenges of obtaining abortion care — from understanding their options, to connecting with trusted clinics, to covering the costs that can stand in the way. Abortion access is health care. It’s common, essential, and deserving of dignity.

Virginia is leading the way on reproductive freedom in the South because our communities show up for one another. By removing barriers and fighting stigma, we help ensure that reproductive freedom is lived, protected, and sustained.

We return calls based on the appointment date and will get back to you 24–48 hours before your appointment.

The Monday closest to your appointment is the best time to call.

For example: If your appointment is on a Monday, call the Monday before so we have time to coordinate funding. Same-day Monday appointments are okay — but for early morning appointments, we can’t always guarantee we’ll reach you in time.

If you live in Virginia — you qualify, even if your appointment is out of state.

* We collaborate with clinics in Virginia and partner with providers in neighboring states when travel is necessary.
